Last updated: 29 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Koenur (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit www.koenur.com, use our app, or shop with us. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules. By using our website or placing an order, you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the data we need to run our store well and serve you better. This falls into a few categories:

What we collect

Why we collect it

Identity & contact

Name, email, phone, billing and shipping address — to create your account, process orders and communicate with you

Order & payment

Items purchased and payment confirmation — to fulfil orders. Card/UPI details are handled by our payment partners, not stored by us

Account & preferences

Login details, wishlist, saved addresses and sizes — to personalise your experience

Technical & usage

Device, browser, IP address and pages viewed — to keep the site secure and improve it

Communications

Messages, reviews and support queries — to assist you and improve our service

Information you give us

You share data directly when you create an account, place an order, save addresses, join our newsletter, write a review, take part in a contest, or contact our team. This includes your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, and the contents of your messages.

Information we collect automatically

When you browse, we automatically collect technical details such as your IP address, device and browser type, time zone, the pages you view, and how you reached our site. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

Information from third parties

We may receive limited data from our partners — for example, order and delivery updates from logistics providers, payment confirmation from payment gateways, and basic profile details if you choose to sign in or share through a social media account.

2. How we use your information

To process, fulfil and deliver your orders, and send order, dispatch and delivery updates

To create and manage your account and remember your preferences

To provide customer care, handle exchanges and repairs, and respond to your queries

To send marketing updates about new collections, offers and events — only where you have opted in

To personalise your shopping experience and recommend pieces you may like

To keep our platform secure, prevent fraud, and detect and resolve technical issues

To analyse and improve our products, website and services

To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations

3. Consent and your choices

We process your personal data based on your consent, or where processing is necessary to fulfil your order, provide a service you have asked for, or comply with the law. You may withdraw your consent at any time — for instance, by unsubscribing from marketing emails or writing to us — though this will not affect processing already carried out, or data we must retain for legal reasons.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help our website work and help us understand how it is used. We use:

Essential cookies that enable core features such as your cart, login and secure checkout

Analytics cookies that show us how visitors use the site so we can improve it

Functional cookies that remember your preferences, such as language or saved items

Marketing cookies that help us show relevant ads and measure their performance (used with your consent)

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner, where available. Please note that blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted parties who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:

Logistics and courier partners, to deliver your orders and process pickups

Payment gateways and banks, to process payments securely

Technology providers, for hosting, analytics, communication and customer support

Professional advisors and authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights

A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition or business transfer, under appropriate safeguards

All such partners are required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your account, and meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.

7. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security practices and procedures — including encryption at checkout, access controls and secure hosting — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. While we work hard to safeguard your information, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you

Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data

Erase your data, where it is no longer needed and not required to be retained

Withdraw consent for processing or marketing at any time

Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of incapacity or death, as provided under the DPDP Act

Grieve — raise a complaint about how your data is handled (see Section 12)

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hello@koenur.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children's privacy

Koenur is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where a user is a minor, we process data only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian, in line with the DPDP Act. If you believe a child has provided us data without such consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Third-party links

Our website may link to other sites — for example, payment pages or social media. This Privacy Policy does not cover those third-party sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version will always be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
